The Cambridge English Exams will test your language skills in four different components:
reading (including Use of English in B2, C1 and C2), listening, writing, speaking.
Each level has different time limits for each part of the exam.

* Please note that the speaking exam is either scheduled at the very beginning of your exam day or at the end. Due to the number of candidates, it could be planned in the early mornings or late in the afternoon.

C1 Advanced (CAE)
This is proof of high-level achievement in English and the ideal qualification to prepare you for university or professional life.
For this exam, there are four papers. First of all, your speaking skills will be tested. Afterwards, you will work through the reading paper, followed by the writing paper. The last paper is the listening paper. The total length of this exam is approx. 4 hours.

Part 1  – 14 min – speaking
Part 2 – 90 min – reading
Part 3 – 90 min- writing
Part 4 – 40 min – listening

 

B2 First (FCE)
A B2 qualification shows you have the language skills needed to communicate confidently in an English-speaking environment.
For this exam, there are four papers. First of all, your speaking skills will be tested. Afterwards, you will work through the reading paper, followed by the writing paper. The last paper is the listening paper. The total length of this exam is approx. 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Part 1 – 14 min – speaking
Part 2 – 75 min – reading
Part 3 – 80 min – writing
Part 4  – 40 min – listening

 

C2 Proficiency (CPE)
This is our highest level qualification and it shows the world that you have mastered English to an exceptional, near-native level.
This exam consists of four papers. First of all, your speaking skills will be tested. Afterwards, you will work through the reading paper, followed by the writing paper. The last paper is the listening paper. The total length of this exam is 4 hours.

Part 1 – 16 min – speaking
Part 2 – 90 min – reading
Part 3 – 90 min – writing
Part 4 – 40 min – listening

 

B1 Preliminary (PET)
A B1 Preliminary qualification shows that you have mastered the basics of English and now have practical language skills for everyday use.
For this exam, there are four papers. First of all, your speaking skills will be tested. Afterwards, you will work through the reading paper, followed by the writing paper. The last paper is the listening paper. The total length of this exam is approx. 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Part 1 – 12 min – speaking
Part 2 – 45 min – reading
Part 3 – 45 min – writing
Part 4 – 30 min – listening
